Peaches Flambeed in a rum and butter mixture, then topped with cinnamon, yogurt and granola. This is how do you do breakfast!
I love peaches any time of the year, and this recipe makes for a delicious breakfast, or even a lighter version of a peach cobbler ala mode for dessert!
Maybe its the primal caveman in us dads, but I love being able to incorporate a little fire when I can. Adding some rum and tipping the pan towards the flame so that everything catches fire for a few seconds is so satisfying.
And I mean it just tastes better flambeed, so its a double win right?!
Melt butter in a pan on medium high heat. Place peaches face down into the pan. Let brow for about 30 seconds then add in Rum.
Give the pan a slight tilt and shake toward your gas stove (or take a lighter and directly light) and let flambe until the flame dies down. Continue to cook for about 2 more minutes.
Place in a bowl, and add some yogurt, granola and a pinch of ground cinnamon. Enjoy!
